Environmental Site Assessment (ESA)

Our understanding of the ecological system we live in is constantly increasing.  Some common materials that were in everyday use a few years ago are now  considered potentially hazardous to human and animal health and are no longer in use. Former practices for storing and handling these materials allowed routine release of these substances. A great deal of effort is now being  expended to search out and remove these substances from the environment.

Generally a phased approach is used, where the initial investigation (Phase I) is used to identify the potential presence of hazardous substances. Phase II  would confirm the presence or absence of suspect substances and Phase III or remediation phase would plan and implement the removal of that substance.
